 MORRIS & MORRIS PRESENTS ROZZI CRANE DEBUT RELEASE SHOWCASE
Featuring Rozzi Crane and The Lovelites What an amazing night! On Friday, May 15th, Tal and Amber hosted Rozzi Crane's cd release party at Bay Area Sound Studios. Rozzi's 45 minute set of original material featured the up and coming bay area band, The Lovelites, with the very talented Miles Schon on lead guitar. This event was really a wonderful opportunity for Rozzi, Amber and Tal to showcase all of the hard work that has been put into this project over the last 10 months. The house was packed! Thanks to all those that came down to support! Be sure to check out Rozzi and The Lovelites this summer when they play at the Italian Street Painting Festival and the North Beach Festival, both in June. Amber has recently had the opportunity to co-sponsor a fantastic event for the wonderful organization, Teens Turning Green. With the help of Bananas At Large, Amber put on an acoustic set featuring some of her stunnin' voice students at the Green Prom Shop at The Village in Corte Madera. The show was a huge success- highlights included Tom Johnston duetting with Lara on "Listen To The Music," and Madison Cain performing some songs off her upcoming country album! What a great night! BARACK OBAMA ANTHEM "WE STAND FOR CHANGE" Getting swept up in the excitement of the November presidential election, Tal, Amber and several of their friends and family, along with members of the community got together to record and film the powerful anthem song, "We Stand For Change." ROZZI CRANE DEBUT RELEASE
The last leg of 2008 was a crazy one with several projects in the works. In August, Tal and Amber headed into the studio with one of Amber's very talented voice students, Rozzi Crane. I kicked off this fantastic summer singing backgrounds for Bay Area favorite and friend, the unique vocal stylist, Tim Hockenberry at the Days of Wine Lavander Festival at Matanzas Creek Winery. If ever you get a chance to check out this event, I highly recommend it. This event sells out fast. Annie Stocking and I had the privilege of tasting lavender infused delicacies that were amazing. New favorite: lavender lemonade.
Summer closed with a CCR concert at my favorite venue, Mountain Winery. The venue has been updated and holds more concert goers...I felt it was more comfortable, and though it did lose a bit of it's charm, I didn't notice it once while Tal was ripping it up on stage along with those Hall of Famers and one of my all time favorite voices, Johnny Bulldog Tristao. We dragged Alicia for a night out in Saratoga and met my student Caroline there with her nephew and two friends. Always a beautiful summer night out!
